Lothringer13 Halle & Rroom
A café, book store, a place to read, research and browse all at the same time right at the front of the Lothringer13 premises. The art space is a non-profit-institution, funded by the city of Munich, and therefore coffee and drinks are low priced and books for sale on a commission basis. The big selection of art and culture magazines hardly found elsewhere in Munich are available to read for every visitor.
For this end, we proposed a rather low-budget design, that could span within the entire space, including the main hall entrance. Furnitures, book displays and counters are made from boards and thought as flexible elements meant to be moved, stacked or taken away depending on the nature of hosted event or daily use occupation.
